of Scaramouche Awards

Owner: Scaramouche Awards rated 4.0 with UWSAG
Winner: UWSAG Award Seekers Pick! August, 2003 - September, 2003

  1. What got you started in website design?

"I have always had a bit of a creative streak in me. After spending time surfing the net and looking at the creative efforts of others I decided to try my hand at it. It gave me another avenue to quench my creative spirit."

  2. What do you hope to accomplish with your award program?

Gavin Maginness "All too often effort, dedication and achievement go unrecognized. This is discouraging and it tends to inhibit the development of new talent. I hope, in some small way, to overcome this problem by offering credit & praise to website owners. By recognizing their efforts and achievements I hope to encourage them to strive for greater achievements. This will develop their talents and improve the quality of their site."

  3. What advice would you give other program owners?

"Spend time looking at the efforts of others and from there develop your own ideas and concepts. Above all do not be discouraged, you are trying something new and every new thing needs to grow and develop."

  4. What was the biggest problem you faced with your award program?

"Deciding how I wanted it to look and function."

  5. If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

"Definitely not. The development of my awards program has taught me a great deal."

  6. What plans do you have for the future?

"I want to continue to browse the net and learn from the efforts and creativity of others. I want to learn as much as possible about web design so I can continue to develop my site and awards program."

  7. What else do you like to do?

"My other interests lie in the areas of teaching and cooking. I get special pleasure in assisting others to realize their own talents and helping them develop them."
